Children's Fair-this Sat., April 16 9 am- 1 pm@IRA Civic Center

Don't forget to attend the Children's Fair is this Sat., April 16th 9 am-1pm at the IRA Civic Center in GRAND Rapids, MN. This is a FREE fun event for children and their families. Lots of FREE Children First! Events this weekend

We have lots of fun Children First! Events this weekend! They are TEAM UP to GREEN UP with RAPTOR CENTER and Kids Karma Yoga on Sat., April 2, 9 am to 12 pm. at RJE Middle School. Kids Karma Yoga is 9-10 am and RAPTOR CENTER presentation is at 10:30 am. Other Organizations will be there with demonstrations on the environment and "HOW TO GO GREEN" . CAMP DISCOVERY IS BACK THIS SUMMER!

Camp Discovery is back this summer with lots of different camps for your children! Camp Discovery brochure is coming home today in your child's backpack! Please check it out. If you didn't recieve a copy please check it out online at www.getlearning.org or email me kwalker@isd318.org and I'll send you a pdf file of the Camp Discovery Brochure. We have favorites back - Art Express Camp, Lego Robotics Camp and Spanish Camp. This year we're expanding a favorite - German Camp to 7 days and combining our Science Camp with Nature Camp- with afternoons split between inside Science discoveries and experiments and outside with Nature activities. NEW this year is our WET & WILD Camp with lots of fun and excitement discovering about WATER and enjoying all kinds of fun activities with WATER. We also have an expanded Digital Photography/Videography Camp and a NEW LEADERSHIP Camp for 6th-8th Grades. Alison Koshiol (Zattoni) is our new Summer Programs person and she will be our Summer Learning Academy Director and Camp Discovery Director. Alison is busy planning lots of exciting Camp activities, hiring fun and engaging Camp Counselors and Teachers and ordering all the fun stuff we use at camp, while also teaching 6th grade at RJE Middle School. Cajun Cooking Class

Hey! Fat Tuesday is coming up. Want to learn all about Canjun and Creole Cooking for your Fat Tuesday? Andy the Chef at Timberlake Lodge has all the know-how and he is teaching it on Tuesday, Feb 9 6:30-8 pm at the Timberlake Lodge.
